Things I Have Noticed

The locals pronounce Berlin as bear-LEAN. Since it is their language, their city and their country, I guess they are right,
The accordian is the instrument of choice for buskers.
There are bakeries eveywhere, including the subway stations. The smell of fresh pastry definitely beats the smells in some other cities' subways.
The pidgeon is not welcome to sit on any overhead beams, and they quickly get the 'point', either with some spikes that are installed on all horizontal surfaces or by nets or wires that keep them away.
If you live in an apartment, you can build a little hut at the Schreber Gartin. You cannot live in this little hut but it gives apartment dwellers a chance to have a garden and get out of the city.
