Kaufhaus des Westens is Berlin's version of Harrod's, tho' I don't recall Harrod's being this decadent, at least as far as the food floor goes.

An amazing assortment of eggs. It is customary to dye eggs before selling when Easter draws near.

And I thought something had gone bad, and then realized we were in the cheese department. This is about 1/8 of the cheese section. The Geek had a horrible time picking one to buy.

Sausages....

and the grand-daddy of all sausages.
I can only hope they have a strategy to prevent waste of the more perishable items.
