An Unusual Spring

The garden has barely been planted yet the rhubarb is already trying to bolt.

Finally! Spring-like Sprouting

The weather suddenly turned warm; the tulips are being smothered by the rhubarb.
The ferns have fiddleheads and the Lily of the Valley is sprouting everywhere.
Where we once had one fern we now have 18.
Sprouting clover.
Scilla.

And the rabbit-pruned rosebush is alive after all.

The City Giveth...

...and the city taketh away.

(18 inches of grass scraped away by the plows. )
One of the downsides of spring.

Rhubarb is Creepy

When it first starts growing.
