You can always tell where the cooler parts of the house are. The Christmas Cactus by the window has buds but the one on the floor in the centre of the room acts like there is nothing going on.
This one also bloomed last year and I don't think the other one did. Hmmm

The Arduino Playground
Ruzter sent the Geek this arduino for her birthday. (It is the small blue bit near the pencil).
I have no idea what it does, but she has been spending a great deal of time playing with it using this website and by all appearances having a great deal of fun. There is no need for me to understand.

Tougher Than Last Year.
I was impressed last year by how long the delphiniums lasted.
This year, they've gone at least a month longer. They are looking a little worse for wear, but they are still blooming.
And it looks like that '1' has flipped itself around again. A non-conformist to be sure.

If You Can Believe What You Read
Saturday, on the curb up the street, we found this lamp sitting on the cover of a portable galvanized sink.
The sink is temporarily housed elsewhere, and the lamp is currently hanging over the utility sink in the basement until it can be installed in the back hall.
The Geek, for some reason, looked it up on eBay and found a trio for sale.
A rather hefty price tag, I must say. I wonder if anyone is going to buy them at that price?
And how does she know these are the same lamps?
