Tempting Fate

My grandmother would always say 'until April is quit, change not a stitch'. Well, Saturday I dragged out the woolen wear and put it in the sun and snow-less yard to dry.

This is what happened Sunday night.

Dust Storm

Winds were gusting up to 88 km/hr this afternoon reducing visibility to 5 km from the usual 24 km.
That doesn't look like 5 km to me.

Ice Thwarters

We have been having a very unusual winter with several spells of above 0 temperatures which leaves lots of water sitting on the sidewalk at the corners of the house. Slippery-when-frozen kind if water.
Somehere in our travels we saw chain used as a sort of downspout so we thought we'd try it.
The one at the back of the house (above) is working but we seem to have missed the drip in the front and need the next warm day to reposition it.
And we are maintaining our reputation as 'the steange neighbours'. Our friends next door had to come out and see just what we were up to now.
