When LIfe Gives You Lemons...
...make lemonade.
This is a much larger area to play-better than the bathtub.
Thankfully it is all clean water!
Soggy Soaked Saturated Squishy
It was very dark at 0930 this morning.
I had no idea the day would turn out to be a repeat of last May.

The basement has been pumped out (thank you for the pump, Dad), and the Geek has sucked up the rest of the water, but I wonder what this evening holds?
Apparently more of the same.

Springtime Snakes
Yesterday we took the nephews to the Narcisse Snake Dens to see the annual emergence of the garter snakes from their winter homes.
I had been a few years ago, earlier in the season, and there were considerably fewer snakes to be seen this time.
The boys all had a chance to hold a snake, tho' N3 was a little nervous about it, and we are hoping to go back in the fall when Miss S, who was away this weekend, can come along.

Scorched
I am on a campaign to rid the yard of weeds, a formidable task as there is creepy charlie, dandelions, and other pesky weeds everywhere.I tried to burn some of them with the tiger torch,

Define 'Creepy'
I planted the asparagus this morning and it is so pale, it looks quite bizarre.

I found quite a few earthworms too.
I don't think either are creepy, but instead, rather wonderful.
Now I just have to wait a couple of years for the spears to appear.

Given Up For Dead
There had been no sign of the hostas this spring and I was sure they had died over the winter.
Until yesterday when all but one put in an appearance.
I keep hoping the last one is just trying to make a grand entrance.

Garden Starts
From Bartmanovich Greenhouse, tomatoes, basil, a geranium, some lavender (to replace the one that Jack Frost ate) and some other little bits and pieces.
And asparagus crowns from Sage Garden Herbs.
They don't look like much now, but hopefully next year there will be lots of juicy fresh asparagus!

Close, but no Cigar
There were several scuff and scraps on the walls of my bedroon, caused by furniture moving, and some grease spatters from the time that room was the kitchen. We figured it was time to cover that all up since we were emptying the room to put in the new furniture.
I found what I thought was the original paint in the basement and while it looked dark going on, we thought it was just because it was wet and the lighting was bad.
