Now we have to find something for over the sink.

Igloo Light
On one trip to The Old Revival Company, we really lucked out. Not only did we find lights for over the kitchen counter and the hallway, we found this really cool one for the bathroom ceiling.
We liked the way the design in the light mimics the tiles on the wall.
The Geek installed it this afternoon.
Now we have to find something for over the sink.

Soggy
Plants in the garden are looking a little bedraggled.

That really isn't to be wondered at. Since noon yesterday we have had close to 60 mm of rain.

When Geeks Bring Work Home
It's amazing how much heat these four babies gave off.

Organizing the Entry-way
I went to the farm for Father's Day and while I was lazing about, The Geek built this organizer unit to keep all our 'out-and-about' stuff, um, organized.
!t will still need paint, but it far exceeded my high expectations for appearance.
Stay tuned for the final appearance.

Pesky Dandelions
On Saturday, after The Geek cut the grass, I went around with the hand pruners and chopped off anything that looked like a past, present or future dandelion flower.

By my reckoning, today is only Wednesday. Where were they all hiding?

More Changes in the Kitchen
The Geek installed the new table top (for some reason, we both thought it would be wider) and built a shelf to keep the electronics 'stuff' off the floor.
Cool.

Spring Smells Wonderful
I am always so happy I don't have allergies. This time of the year smells wonderful, if it doesn't make you sneeze.

How Spoiled is This?

Renovation Clues
Even if the rest of the house were as neat as a pin, there would be, for the astute observer, signs that something is afoot.

The New Kitchen Counters
The Geek started on the new countertops when we came home from Bon Accord.
They are to replace the 'temporary' countertops we installed three and one half years ago.

We considered leaving the sink out for awhile, at least until we re-programmed ourselves into using the bathroom sink.
But the countertop installation has resulted in an even greater level of chaos on this side of the house, so the sink had to go in.

Many Years Ago I Was Thrilled With a 15
I am even more ecstactic with this new, really high, number.
Now I might be able to stay outside for an hour.

More Signs of a Slow Spring
And the icebreaker at the Elm Park bridge is recognizable only by the swirl in the water.

The Garden Contest
We made the garden smaller this year since nothing grew the shady part on the left. That part we seeded to grass. I am waiting to see which half is more productive.
They are both tied in the onion growing department, tho' some of the 'onions' on the right hand side look suspiciously like garlic.
I haven't planted garlic for years, so who knows what else is laying dormant in there.
